About me
I am a Professionally Accredited Children's
Meditation Teacher.
Having been introduced to meditation myself as a child, I have a lifelong practice which has been an invaluable gift. Serene Kids was developed in order to offer the same gifts to all children
After leaving behind my life in London almost a decade ago for a more peaceful way of life by the sea, I have been practising a more simple and mindful way of living. Taking part in retreats, attending teachings and even time spent teaching monks English has helped deepen and strengthen my own practice. This inspired me to share some of this experience with others, particularly children. Children are so open and receptive to learning meditation and mindfulness techniques and they don't seem to have the resistance and mental blocks that we as adults sometimes have. Helping children to develop a practice, gives them invaluable inner resources, in order to live a happier and healthier life.

I realise that I was so fortunate to have been introduced to meditation as a child, as although it wasn't til later I fully began my own practice; those early seeds planted a strong foundation.
I had skills and inner resources to help me through the many hurdles of growing up. With the many challenges children and teenagers now face growing up in such a fast paced, digital and media dominated world, it seems that turning towards the wisdom of age-old practices and teachings is needed now more than ever.

Sessions & Courses

I offer bespoke meditation, mindfulness and wellbeing sessions and courses for toddlers through to teens. Working intuitively with effective, proven practices and techniques, I aim to tailor each session or course of sessions to the individual child or group of children, allowing them to experience precious time out to relax and just be. As I work closely with the child/children I will be able to identify key areas to focus on which will be of greatest benefit.

Each session will consist of a series of mindfulness and meditation practices to improve overall health and wellbeing. I will endeavour to offer a relaxing, peaceful and nurturing environment for each session, and the content and pace will be in response to the individual child/group.

Many teenagers are now experiencing stress in response to pressures from studying, exams, social relationships, life challenges such as leaving school and sometimes from a lack of sleep. Learning simple but effective meditation and mindfulness practices can be very effective in helping them to relax and feel better able to handle their busy lives.
